一. 旷野四十年 Forty years in the wilderness

1.旷野是神试验人，训练人的地方，叫人看见他自己
God humbled and disciplined Israelites in the wilderness

2.纪念神在旷野的引导，存感恩的心事奉祂
Remember God’s guidance and serve Him with a thankful heart

二. 旷野四十站 Forty encampments in the wilderness

1.神吩咐摩西按神的角度记载，是神的百姓跟随神的历史
Written by God’s commandment, it was a history of how the people followed God

2.整个旷野行程可看作“出来”
All the wilderness journeys may be regarded as “goings out “

3.整个行程是集体的行动，随神一同往前，不断有新人加入
All the journeys were collective movements, and they moved together with God.

三. 应用 Applications

1.我们的一生好像行走在旷野，没有长存的家.
Our lifetime in this world is just like walking in the wilderness, there is no continuous home for us.

2.一生要经过很多站，每一站都有功课要学，只要心归向神，每一站都会得益处
Each encampment had its own lesson, those really following God would gain from it.

3.神不喜欢看到人的失败，只要人顺从祂，就蒙赦免.人似乎容易忘记痛苦，格外记得喜乐
There was no pleasure to God to record a history of men’s failure, and He will forgive those who repent.
